Sorry I been MIA! I have a lot to catch up but I spent the holidays relaxing and moving to my new apartment! I been gearing up for what I’m going to present later this year with multiple projects that I been working on. I finished laying out my novel and hoping to begin writing that this year and finish it sometime next year or after. My dream projects are now part of the same Mythos that share similarities but not directly related.

GO23 - Pre Blog

Hey guys, taking a 95% pause on HG right now to focus on Game Off 2023! I didn’t get to do it last year since we did the multiplayer summer jam one but this time we are going in full force! This year we will be learning Godot and turning this project into a text- adventure game that takes place in Space with the theme of Scales. The game will obviously be open source and so the game will be titled: The Tales of Three Scales.

HG Log #6: End of October

Hey everyone, sorry it’s been awhile but I have been busy this month. I interviewed for an internal project, I returned from Sacramento from Judging Pokemon Regionals and now I’m getting some time in to work on personal projects before Game Jam November! I was able to get some work done for Hollowgrounds. I finished the basic template map for the 2nd area and after I tidy some of this up I will begin working on the 4 quests that will be featured in the Beta that will happen later this year early next!

HG Log #5 / Busy Week

Hey guys, it’s been awhile but October has been pretty busy so far. Catching up with school and working towards landing a 6 month project to do Mobile App Testing so I been preparing for that. Not much details about this project just yet since my Manager presented the short term project to us recently so I will find out soon. I know we have to interview for it and I saw the prep and it looks somewhat easy with a minor things that I’m familiar with but not enough to go into details so I will work on that.

Hello October 1st! It’s been awhile since we worked on this but now that time is freeing up, this month will be a little busy as we finished the template of the Beta maps, only thing left is to make it pretty! we have finished templating the first village, the training caves, nearby areas that takes you to the first cave/tunnel that will take you to the 2nd village available in the Prologue.

HG Devlog #3 - Mapping

Hey guys, A small update as in there probably be less development time this week due to studying and I’m seeing a concert and just going to relax from the pc every once in awhile but I’ll still blog. But once the weekend hits I’ll be doing more work. I finished Baldur’s Gate 3 and it’s a sweet game. Thinking of playing it again in the Winter. But I’m currently setting up my Wii to run retroarch on my CRT TV (13’ Toshiba TV with a built in DVD-Player) to play some old classic RPGS to get some inspirations in terms of storylines, mapping, and art inspirations.

Slow week

Nothing much to say. Just been a slow week getting back into the groove of things since I got back from vacation. I am currently learning how to do pixel art and been on the drawing boards for the MUD which I will announce soon. Will give you the engine that I am working on which is MirageMUD. This MUD will follow the structure of Ember Online but will take place in Space.

History of the Gaiuss Trilogy (Cartuga, Gralina, and now Hollowgrounds)

Not a dev log but just a quick history of the game series and why I want to make this the way it is now. At the time of this writing, Hollowground is the current work in project with many other projects I have on the pipeline, which also includes the Cartuga - Definitive Edition. I was able to find the original source, thankfully I had it up on my Github so I will take a look, rebalance it, add some new stuff and re-release it.

Gralina/HG - Dev Log #2

If you guys are wondering what the HG stands for in the title, it’s the name of the game now. So moving forward, Hollowgrounds is the name of the main game where Gralina will be the first Episode/Chapter of the game. With the 2nd Episode, being an expansion. I’m expecting the dev lifespan at the rate that we are going is at least a year and a half. Server will be up until someone beats the game and then after that the server will be up for at least another year or until the server dies (if I decided to get like a 3 year server plan, etc)
